I had a fun race this weekend in Durango (the course went through a packed, hecklefest of a brewery and had man made features before and after. Definitely an adrenaline rush!) It was my first time racing pro/open and although the course was tough (800 ft of climbing in a 6 mile lap), and the heat/elevation was challenging, I have noticed many improvements, both physically and mentally since beginning training with Julie in February. I have learned effective race strategies and throughout the season I have been able to improve my starts and physical performance. I am excited to continue to work hard through the summer with road riding/racing enduros, and the Downieville xc in August.
