What: Endurance training via cycling – road and mountain biking, trail running and hiking to integrate with and complement alpine specific strength conditioning program. Develop a solid off-season foundation upon which to build in-season peak performance.
- Learn proper running and cycling posture and technique
- Develop/train energy systems
- Improve functional movement strength and power
- Injury prevention via overall general conditioning
Who: J1, J2 and J3s
Where: Workout locations vary throughout Tahoe-Truckee area based on discipline of the day
When: Workouts duration 1.5hours, taking place Mon or Tue afternoons or Friday mornings weekly – depending on the workout, in eight-week session format. First session starts first week of July, with new sessions starting every eight weeks.
